- Wooden plaque remover picks are flat, wooden picks that stimulate the gums and remove plaque. Some people find them easier to use than traditional floss. 5
- A floss holder is a Y-shaped plastic tool that holds a length of floss between two prongs. It can make flossing easier for people who have trouble manipulating the floss, such as children and older adults.6
So what is the best type of floss? They all work well so it’s whichever one that you will use every day! Experiment with several styles if you need to, but make sure you find the floss that works best for your dental needs. And remember to floss at least once daily for good oral health.
